About Lacrosse
Lacrosse is both North America's oldest game and among the fastest growing sports at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. Based on a traditional game played by Native Americans, lacrosse has been popular on the east coast for decades and is the official summer sport of Canada. The expansion into the Western US has been more recent. Lacrosse will make its return to the Olympics in LA 2028 for the first time since London 1948.
It's a great Spring Sport
Mixing elements of football, soccer, basketball, and even wrestling (wrestlers excel at the faceoff), school based teams compete in the spring season as a perfect compliment to fall and winter activities. Team registration typically starts in late fall or early winter. The season begins at the end of February and extends through May. New players are always welcome!
