Ridgeview Lacrosse is committed to providing an opportunity for student athletes to enhance their lives through the sport of lacrosse emphasizing community, teamwork, leadership, character, and integrity.
Lacrosse is not a sanctioned sport under the Oregon School Activities Association and teams operate as individual school based clubs within the Oregon High School Lacrosse Association (OHSLA). Ridgeview Lacrosse does not receive financial support or management oversight from the Redmond School District.
While competing in the High Desert League of OHSLA under the Ridgeview name, the team is made up of players from all Redmond area high schools, Sisters, and other neighboring communities.
Lacrosse is both North America's oldest game and among the fastest growing sports at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. Based on a traditional game played by Native Americans, lacrosse has been popular on the east coast for decades and is the official summer sport of Canada. The expansion into the Western US has been more recent. Lacrosse will make its return to the Olympics in LA 2028 for the first time since London 1948.
Mixing elements of football, soccer, basketball, and even wrestling (wrestlers excel at the faceoff), school based teams compete in the spring season as a perfect compliment to fall and winter activities. Team registration typically starts in late fall or early winter. The season begins at the end of February and extends through May. New players are always welcome! Contact us through the links on the bottom of this page to get the most up to date info and schedule.
At the conclusion of the 2025 spring season, six Ridgeview team members were voted by league coaches to all-conference teams for their on-field accomplishments.
